Using multiple languages

All Archetype Themes include the option to be translated and are pre-packaged with translations for English, French, Spanish, Portuguese (2 areas) and German.

You can read more about enabling and customizing the translations for Shopify's multi-language feature through their instructional guide here.

For the best user experience, we recommend using Shopify's free Geolocation app in order to automatically prompt out-of-region customers to switch language (and currency, if relevant).

We also provide a built-in language switcher that can be enabled/disabled in the following locations:

  • Impulse: Header and Footer sections
  • Streamline: Footer section
  • Motion: Footer section
